Deformed Wire Coil
Along with civil projects, from supply to quality control
Rebar coils are tightly wound coils made of reinforcing steel bars. When their surface is ribbed , they are referred to as deformed wire coils. This type of rebar is classified into two grades: A2 and A3.
The production process of wire coils is such that after the rebars are manufactured, they are coiled using special equipment. The steel used for these rebars is produced through steelmaking processes such as open-hearth furnaces , electric arc furnaces, and converters. This product is made from billet ingots by the hot rolling process and is then converted into various wires through cold drawing operations. Finally , the wire is formed into coils. The inner diameter of the coils is about 85 mm and their weight is approximately 22,000 kilograms.
Applications of Deformed Wire Coil
Deformed wire coils are used in various industries , including the following:
Construction industry
Fabrication of trusses and joists
Wire rope production
Barbed wire production
Manufacture of wire mesh, fencing, and gabions
Manufacture of nails, screws, and rivets
Manufacture of metal chains
Electrode manufacturing and welding industry
Production of free-cutting wire rods
Spring manufacturing industry
